Best Event Northumberland – Journal Culture Awards 2012

In 2012, as part of the London 2012 Festival, Deborah Warner was commissioned to create Peace Camp in collaboration with actor Fiona Shaw.

Working with the team at Artichoke, Public Image Events built eight peace camps in eight of the most beautiful and remote coastal locations using almost 2,000 dome tents, each with its own lights and sound system installed.

The installations were sited across the country at:

Fort Fiddes in Aberdeenshire, Dunstanburgh Castle in Northumberland, Cuckmere Haven in East Sussex, Cemaes Bay in Wales, Godrevy in Cornwall, Cliff Beach on the Isle of Lewis, Mussenden Temple in Northern Ireland and White Park Bay on the North Antrim Coast in Northern Ireland.
